AN: I know that the first few lines may not be exactly what the characters said but I couldn't find a script anywhere so I did the best I could. I just thought I would warn you, so please don't be mad at me.
Thanks and enjoy!
Phil and Keely sat in Phil's backyard at his picnic table. Grady and Grace had just run off together to the planetarium. Keely was marveling at her wonderful matchmaking work.
"Keely, haven't you learned your lesson about meddling?" Phil asked a little exasperated.
"I just hate it when two people who are supposed to be together don't realize it." She sighed.
A thought crossed Phil's mind. He knew that that comment related to the two of them. They had been best friends since the second day he arrived in this century. He had liked Keely from the second he'd laid eyes on her. That feeling of like had slowly developed into love. He just wasn't sure that she felt the same way and if her shocked disbelief at Grace's attraction to him was any indication, then Keely only saw him as a friend. Phil inwardly sighed and looked up at the star filled sky.
"Wow, the stars are beautiful tonight." Keely said beside him. Phil smiled and looked over at her. She really was beautiful. Prettier than any girl he'd ever met in his century. And she had a kindness and generosity to her that was a rare thing to find in someone with the angelic looks she possessed.
"Yeah." He replied, still watching her. Keely turned towards him and part of him wanted to look away while another, more adamant part caused him to keep looking at her. He whispered her name as he got lost in her big, green eyes. She leaned a little closer to him.
"Phil." It was only a whisper. They were looking directly into each other's eyes; directly into each other's souls. Phil knew this was his chance. All the feelings that had been building up were now breaking through to the surface. He knew he would regret it if he never took the next step with Keely, or at least tried.
His heart was hammering away in his chest as he put his reservations behind him and slowly leaned forward to touch her lips with his. He was gentle and it was just a small peck, but it sent electricity through his entire body. He pulled back a little and looked up at Keely. She had a shocked expression on her face. Phil hung his head and tried to hold back the tears that were threatening to spill over. He had ruined their friendship. "I'm sor-" He was interrupted by her mouth crashing into his. She ran a hand through the hair on the back of his head. She desperately pulled him closer and massaged his lips with hers.
Phil moves one to Keely's check and gently caressed it. He became bolder as the kiss intensified and ran his tongue along Keely's lower lip, asking for entrance. It was granted and their tongues danced with one another. Her mouth was soft, warm and inviting. Phil never wanted to leave. This moment was heaven and he wished he hadn't waited so long to make a move.
They reluctantly broke apart to catch their breaths. Keely pressed her forehead against Phil's and they both sighed in unison.
"Wow." Keely whispered after a moment.
"Yeah." Phil agreed.
He rubbed his thumb along her bottom lip and smiled. Keely moved to lay her head on his shoulder and they both looked up at the night sky. The stars seemed brighter now and so did their future.
The End.
I am planning to write a sequel to this story. I haven't started it yet but I do have some ideas.
