Great news! As we know it the sad little green and blue planet which houses the largest human population in the whole galaxy is being over come by the Homo Coprophagus Somnambulusmutation, you may know them by what we humans call them, zombies.

Well thanks to my parents and few other egotistical geneticists the majority of populace are being overcome by the local zombies. By now most of the nation is infected, with a few Untouched scattered here and there. And there are those movie stars and important people up in the mountains with their bunkers and tanks. The best hope for the people are the closed off towns far up north protected by military. Many try to make the journey, many fail.

This is where my story begins and others' ends.

Signing out, this is Mary _ Zombie Hunter

I peeked out through the curtains looking out the great window on top of my family's flat. No cars moved through the street, not a soul was seen but the occasional shadowed figure hulking under the eaves of buildings. The entire state had been on lock down in defense of a new plague infecting our society. This sickness was a result of an experiment my parents had been doing, finding the cure for death. I hadn't to see them since the outbreak.

"Miss?" lost in thought I hadn't noticed August our butler approach, I turned to greet him "Dinner is ready, your brother is waiting for you" I nodded and together we strode into the dining room. Having been holed up with my 13 year old brother, Adrien, August and the 2 body guards Eli and Ko assigned to us there wasn't much conversation as we ate our macaroni. There were no lights on except the two candles in the center of the table. Forks clacked against the fancy china as we ate in silence listening for the unsteady footsteps that came as the evening darkened. "Time for bed little master and mistress" August said with forced cheeriness and he lifted his heavyset figure from the chair. He began to put away the dishes as the Ko went to bed and Eli took his post by the barred door. Adrien was in his before I had the chance to even get up. I said my goodnights and head for bed, the moment my hand reached for the doorknob we could start to hear those tell tale foot steps come shuddering outside the room. Everyone froze instantly Eli gripped his shotgun his knuckles gone white. Nothing in the room moved, all eyes turned to the door. Weathered fingers brushed the door ever so slightly and on finger nail tapped the door so quietly you wouldn't have known it was there if you hadn't been listening. Soft sighs and whispers accompanied the scratches. These sounds slowly faded away, but every was still tensed, stopped in the middle whatever they had been doing. August dishes still in hand motioned my to my room. I quickly stepped into my bedroom, no argument there. I bolted the door and slipped out of my clothes and into my feather bed. My heart beating frantically as I laid down stiffly. Things were about to get a little sticky
