Hi all. First Psych story and its about Lassie and Jules. It's about the second Yin/Yang story where Jules is tied to the clock tower. This is based off the ending scene but I wrote it differently. It's a cuter Lassiet version.

Juliet was annoyed now. All her emotions were bubbling over and the stupid EMT man couldn't take a hint.

She held up her hands and screamed at him. "I'm fine! I'm fine!" she screamed and dramatically pushed down her hands at him keeping him away.

Carlton Lassiter quickly came over and roughly grabbed the man's shoulder and pushed him away. Juliet gritted her teeth and again gestured that she was fine.

Unfortunately Lassie knew her too well. "You're not fine" he argued and Juliet just kept saying she was.

He calls her by her last name and then tries her first. "O'Hara!" he snaps and then sighs. He realizes he needs to be soft with her. She is obviously very shaken but is thinking she needs to be tough still.

"Juliet…" Carlton says quietly. She stops her hand movement and stares at him with wide, terrified, grief-stricken, baby blue eyes. Carlton then gently takes a few stray hairs off her face and tucks them behind her ear.

"Juliet…you don't have to be brave anymore…its just me now and it's okay to cry" he tells her. His voice is soft as Carlton decides Juliet O'Hara is his weakness. He cares about her and decides he'll be her hero.

Juliet hears his words and her worlds stops for a moment. She really is tired of being brave and can't hold in her tears. She looks at him a few seconds and grabs his arms.

"Oh Carlton…I was…I was…" she stammers but can't get the words out and starts to sob hysterically.

Carlton takes that as a sign she's ready now to just be held. So he gently puts his hand on her shoulder blades and she doesn't resist. Instead she welcome his embrace and sobs into his chest. He rests his chin on her head gently and holds her tightly. "Shh, it's okay Juliet, just let it all out, I won't let anyone ever hurt you" he whispers to her.

Juliet nods as she sobs quietly. It feels so good to cry and she feels the tension and her fears of near death release off her body. Carlton just hugs her tightly with his firm but gentle hug.

They stand there for almost ten minutes but Lassiter doesn't care. He's just grateful she is still alive. Carlton had his doubts about her in the beginning but Juliet O'Hara was now not just his partner, she was his friend.

When she finally pulls away she wipes at her eyes. Carlton gives her a tissue from his front pocket. She thanks him and Carlton sighs again. He reaches down and lifts her up like a groom would for his bride.

"You don't have to be a cop today Juliet" he whispers. She understands the cryptic message. He's still a cop and today she is a victim of attempted murder.

Juliet gives him a nod and puts her arms around his neck. "Fine, you win partner" she says and he chuckles. "I always win Juliet" he replies.

"Yeah…I know…thanks Carlton" Juliet murmurs back and places her head on his shoulder and closes her eyes.

Carlton smiles as he sees his partner looks peaceful again. He wasn't a very big touchy feely type but she was special. He doesn't mind her warm and gentle hugs and loves it when they high-five. She's a wonderful person but Carlton has a feeling their only going to be partners forever. Least she was safe in his arms and for a moment he could pretend she was more than his partner. Just for a moment Juliet was his and Carlton could live with that.
