Bedtime Prayer

Now I lay me down to sleep
Listen closely as I weep
Sobs of pain that rack my body
Vernon says that I've been naughty.
Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the Lord my soul to keep
The beating was so very bad
My friends, they'll be so very sad.
Nightmarish dreams
filled with a light so green
I'm hidden in shadow
the darkness empty and hollow
Screams rise up and fill the air
Baited breath, released in death
Joy and laughter no more shall be
Nor has my soul been set free.
Should I die before I wake
No more then would my body quake
Voldemort, Vernon, and Draco too
Blast! What else rhymes other then screw?
Giving up and pressing on
Now it's time for me to be strong
I face my fears and fade away
See the light coming my way?
