Trinity Power
Chapter 1
Ace sat in the passenger seat of the car. Finally he was going back to school from the longest winter break ever. He couldn't wait to see the two people he considered his best friends again. Queen, Nine and he made up the unholy trinity; at least that's what they liked to call themselves. Ace felt such pride in finding that name for the three of them. So he sat, iPhone in hand, he watched eagerly as the desert hills rolled by. He couldn't wait to see the university again, but it still was no Suzaku Peristylium.
He sighed as he remembered the gorgeous campus of the Peristylium. It saddened him that the school was destroyed and they had to relocate to southern California. But hey, at least he was still with his friends at school. That's all he could ever ask for. Although he wasn't flashy about it, Ace really loved his friends. He rarely ever admitted that to their faces. He couldn't imagine how he'd go on if something happened to his friends and they didn't know how much he actually cared for each of them, especially Queen and Nine.
"Ace!" Jack, his roommate screamed at him, snapping Ace out of his daydream.
"What?" Ace replied as he turned to the backseat.
"Only like 30 more miles!"
Ace gave Jack an 'are you kidding me' look.
"Seriously Jack? That's like another 30 minutes. Let me know when we get off the exit."
With that, Ace went back to spacing out.
Of course Ace was being his usual self, Jack thought to himself. The ex-katana wielder simply sighed and thought of all the new things winter quarter of college was going to bring.
