Chapter 1; The birth of one, the death of two.

Screaming was heard all in and around the house as Lori kept pushing and pushing. ''Just a little more.'' The nurse said while focusing on the baby's head which was already visible. Rick who had passed out before slowly came to senses again and encouraged his wife by holding her hand. Their eldest son, Carl, rushed into the room after he got a call from his dad that his mom was giving birth. Lori pushed once more and squeezed Rick's hand as hard as she could, then there followed the crying of a newborn baby; Judith Grimes.
A week had passed and everything went well with little Judith and the proud parents Lori and Rick. Carl just arrived to babysit as Lori and Rick wanted to go out and have a night for their own again by going out to a movie and diner. They left after explaining the instructions to Carl who said everything would be fine, at least with him and little Judith.
Twenty mintes later Lori and Rick arrived at the restaurant, sitting down at a table by the window. They ordered some champagne and just when the waiter walked away from their table three masked men with guns barged inside. One of them shouting; ''Everybody lay down, nobody move. And you -'' The man pointed at the man behind the bar. ''Give me all the money.'' As scared as everybody was Rick and Lori also layed down on the ground, holding each others hands. The other men of the three walked over to the bar and grabbed all the money and rushed outside to start the van while the other two started shooting around, killing everybody in the restaurant. Including Rick and Lori.
Carl who had no idea what had happened was watching tv after he put Judith to sleep. He just got into the movie when the phone rang, he answered with Grimes house, his eyes widen as the police answered and told him the news. After hanging up he couldn't hold back his tears and looked over to Judith her crib. Soon Carl would be leaving to L.A. to live with his girl and then little Judith would be all alone.. unless.. there would be someone to take care of her with all his heart.
