Before she could even make sense of what was going on, before she could clear the fog and ache in her head, a pair of strong hands bore down on her shoulders. She realized that didn't make much sense because she could feel heavy cold shackles around her wrists and ankles. Why would someone be holding her if there was no chance for escape? Maybe there was something a bit more to this but it just didn't want to click.

When she finally mustered the strength to give her attacker a glare she realized the person she was looking at was supposed to be her friend. Only that friend looked nothing like she was used to seeing.

Jonouchi was staring down at her, squeezing her skin now in a painful way; dead eyes bearing down on her. The look alone was what scared her, not that she was locked up, not that something bad was happening to her- but that something bad had already happened to Jonouchi. As she stared at him, the expression of hate she'd had just a moment ago turning into pure terror, he smirked at her.

The curve of his lips in such a fashion looked rather forced, like it was paining him in some fashion, almost as if his skin were being pulled by a puppet master. He leaned in closer, nose pressing against hers. From the small contact he felt clammy and yet ice cold. It was too close for comfort but there was nowhere she could go, despite squirming instinctively.

"Jonouchi…" Maybe she could wake him up somehow.

His teeth clenched, grinding together so hard that she could hear it, wincing. "Not here." His voice was garbled beyond real recognition. Whoever this was it was not her friend.

Strong hands held her down harder, causing pain to shoot across both shoulder blades. "Please-" The word popped from her rather automatically. He laughed in her face before pressing his forehead against hers and she recoiled as far as she could go with a hiss of pain.

One hand left her shoulder to go to the back of her head, forcing her to meet his head again. She bit her bottom lip to keep from crying out but it felt like her skin was burning. His forehead was burning her. When she looked up she finally could see why. Through his bangs now, at this distance, there was a glow. She'd seen that glow before and suddenly everything made a lot more sense.

In a swift a move as she could make it she pulled back against his hand only to slam her forehead into his. "Wake up!" This couldn't be happening. Jonouchi was too strong for this. Their bond was too strong for this. How could they both be trapped this way?

The man didn't even seem to feel the pain, unlucky as she had given herself quite a migraine from doing so. "I am awake." The statement sounded just as strained as everything else as he reached for his back pocket.

A gold item that she was unfamiliar with was suddenly pressed in place of where his forehead just was. If there was something she would be able to say this was her last chance to say it; she could feel that now underneath all the horror.

As the item started to glow she felt an unbearable pressure in her head but she refused to give up, staring him down. "JONOUCHI!"

The man barely twitched as the room went silent and she broke under the pressure, slumping forward to become the same lifeless husk he was.

Only a single tear escaped the corner of his eye.
