How much I love you
A stream of children emerged from the orphanage as they rushed outside to play after having been paraded in front of several couples who had been there to choose out a child to adopt. They all laughed and smiled as they ran about in the playground, all but one. Mokuba's eyes were glazed over with sadness as his brother had been chosen by one of the couples.
"Hey Mokie." Seto smiled as he caught up with his brother and then frowned at seeing Mokuba upset. "What's wrong?"
"That's the fourth time you've been chosen by new parents but haven't gone with them because they wouldn't take me along as well." Mokuba sniffed and felt guilty about keeping his brother in a place that neither of them liked much.
"I'm not going anywhere without you little brother." Seto hugged Mokuba.
"I love you Seto." Mokuba smiled knowing that his brother would always be there for him. He pulled from the hug and spread his arms out wide. "I love you this much."
"And I love you this much." Seto copied his brother and stood with his arms open wide.
That is a lot. Mokuba thought as he looked at his brother's bigger arm span.
Together they headed for the swings were they sat side by side and Mokuba said; "I love you as high as I can swing." He laughed and rocked back and forth to make the swing go higher.
"And I love you as high as I can swing." Seto swung higher and faster than what his brother could.
That is a lot. Mokuba laughed at seeing his brother let go of the chains to leap form the seat and land several metres away where he fell on his behind.
Later at mealtime they sat down eating their desert; strawberry and chocolate ice cream.
"I love you so I'll share my ice cream with you." Mokuba took a huge scoop out of the ball of strawberry ice cream in his bowl and placed it into his brother's bowl.
"And I love you so I'll share my ice cream with you too." Seto carefully transferred the entire ball of chocolate ice cream from his bowl to his brother's.
That is a lot. Mokuba licked his lips as chocolate ice cream was his favourite.
As they brushed their teeth before bedtime Mokuba looked out of the window and pointed. "I love you all the way to the moon."
"And I love you all the way to the moon and back." Seto winked as he brushed his teeth.
That is a lot. Mokuba thought sadly as his brother always seemed to be able to go one step better than him with their comparison.
The lights were turned out as they lay in their bunk beds. Mokuba got out of his bottom bunk like he did every night and climbed up to his brother's were Seto lay with the covers pulled back ready for Mokuba to snuggle up beside him. "I love you always and forever." Mokuba whispered as he closed his eyes, there was no way his brother could beat that.
That is a lot. Seto smiled as he watched his brother fall asleep. And I'll love you for all of eternity.
