Thunderstorms and scary monsters in the night always sent children running to the comforting arms of their parents. Not me. A distant rumble outside or the presence of something unnatural in the corner made me roll over and cuddle closer to your sleeping body.

Years down the road, most boys would moan to their friends about girls and their wacky ways. Not you. Late at night when everyone else was asleep, you'd part my curtains and crawl under the covers yearning to talk to someone.

Now is the time when we should be moving in with other people and thinking of marriage. Not us. We're still sharing a room like when we were little, but having seperate beds like just a few years ago. Thunderstorms or the urge to talk aren't the only reasons bringing us to the others bed. Sometimes just feeling the closeness of our bodies is all that's needed.
