DM Wishing Well
Gru stood live his family looking at the old wishing well that was not far from where they lived. He had been working on it for a very long time and now it was complete. The well was built deep into the ground along with a drain to let the rain water flow away and not fill up the whole well.
The minions chanted ''Well, well, well!'' in excitement. ''Can you make wishes on it?'' Lucy asked her husband. ''I don't know Lucy'' Gru said ''but we can try''. ''But how?'' Margo who had just arrived asked with wonder.
''We can throw old coins into de well'' Gru replied ''now den, Lucy and I have a lot of work to do so why don't you gurls try and make some wishes?''. Their parents rummaged for some old coins and the girls looked at the old coins Gru had given them and wondered what to wish for.
Just then Lucy came back. ''I know what to wish for'' she told her three daughters. ''What, what?'' they chorused. ''I wish I had some more AVL weapons'' Lucy said throwing a coin into the well. But she accidently threw her Lipstick Taser right into the well by mistake and didn't notice!
But the girls had seen everything. Edith suggested using Gru's magnet to rescue the Lipstick Taser and ran off to fetch it. She attached a piece of string to the super magnet and lowered it into the well.
But she leaned over too far and toppled right into the well! ''Are you alright Edith?'' Margo called. ''I think so'' Edith's voice called from below ''But I can't get out again. Meanwhile Agnes had raced off to get help.
''Edith's down the well!'' she shouted when she saw Lucy come back with Gru. Gru and Lucy quickly hurried outside into the back garden. ''Hold on there Edith!'' Gru shouted ''we'll soon have you out of dat well''. Then he called out loudly ''Assemble de minions!''. The small yellow creatures soon appeared. Gru made them hold onto each other and form a long rope and lowered them into the well.
Edith held onto them and together, everyone pulled her out. ''I think I'll get a grating for dat well so no one will ever fall down it again'' Gru said. ''Look what I found down there'' Edith said showing something small and thin to her mother.
''My Lipstick Taser!'' Lucy exclaimed ''I thought I'd lost it forever. Thank you Edith''.
