She's crying again.

"Mum."

"Draco."

"Come on, Mum. Let's get out you out of the bed, now. Dinner's ready."

"No, no I musn't."

"Why not?"

"Cos they're all gone, Draco. Everything I pledged my life to live for."

"It's rosemary chicken, your favourite."

"The Ravenclaws stole Meda. The Gryffs stole Sirius. Tom stole Bella. Bella stole Reggie. Azkaban stole Lucius."

"There's me, Mum."

"Really? Are you going to be here forever and ever?"

"No, Mum. But I'll be here when you come calling. Now I'm going downstairs to eat, you'll be down in a minute."

"Yes, yes I'll be down."

"Good."

"Draco!" she calls into the dark hall after his shimmering hair has dissapeared.

"Yes, Mum?" He asks coming back into focus.

"Just making sure you're still there."

The could call him a Mother's boy, but sometimes he fears he's all his Mum's got left.

She's reprimanding her again.

"I can't believe you!"

"Mum! It was just a stray curl, just straighted it."

"But Nymphadora, how many times must I tell you?"

"I know, someone one day will get wind of my talents and I'll be forever misjustified. I'm being untrue to myself and I must be comfortable in the skin I'm in. I've got a gift and I shouldn't be misusing it."

"That was quite a good recitation, I'll say. But you missed the part where I tell you you're beautiful."

"It was the edited version. Redundancy isn't attractive."

"I take that offensively!"

"Can I ask you a question?"

"Sure."

"You preach to me about not changing what I look like for fear of losing myself."

"Preach is a little harsh, but, yes."

"Then why do you allow me to change my eyes? I've done some research, I know where the colour comes from and why ... why you're so uncomfortable around them. But without your family, your heritage, how are you to know anything about yourself?"

"Because I don't want you to be anything like them."

Her mum muddied up the bloodlines and it doesn't bother her like it does others. For this was the mum she was born with, and she loves her any way.

She's pacing again.

"Trix?" Ginny calls, coming into focus in the elder woman's bed chambers.

"Gin."

"Can I apologize? About before, this whole spy buisness is frizzing me, and I lost it. I owe you more than to yell at you."

"Do you miss your mum?" Bellatrix asks her out of the blue, still pacing.

"Well, yes. Quite alot. You?"

"No. No, not my mum. She was too cold to love."

"Surely... you must miss something about your childhood."

"I didn't have the best childhood." Here she gives a short, haughty laugh, though nothing's humorous.

"Nothing to miss?"

"Yes, something. Two things."

"Elaborate?"

"No, not really."

Suddenly the only two female Deatheaters have forged an emotional connection that otherwise would be unimaginable.

They're missing one another again.

Author's note: creds to... well, this one was a production brought to you by my own brain. Eep, danger? The Bella/Ginny bit had to be put in due to the fact Bella has no children, and the fact that I believe Ginny's a traitor, Order spy. By missing her mum, I think Bella means missing not being honest to her mum. I can't let Molly die, not on my watch, I'm too emotionally attached. ;) Draco is out of character. Claps.
