Life begins with birth.
"Ukitake-taicho, Aimi-san. Congratulations, it's a healthy girl."
With birth comes joy.
"Thank you for letting us be your parents, Keiko."
Life ends with death.
"My condolences Ukitake-taicho. We weren't able to cure your pregnant wife in time."
With death comes grief.
"Daddy, if I stop crying will Mommy and Baby come back?"
And so the cycle repeats, with Fate as it's guardian.
They all begin and end in the same way, as Fate decides the journey of each living beings.
Some are given blessed lives while others were given the worst.
For a certain father and husband who deeply loved his family, he was fated to a life where he lost his wife and unborn child to an illness. A family of what was supposed to be four was reduced to a family of two. Fate, however, wasn't done with him. A few months later, his daughter mysteriously disappeared. Search parties were formed but nobody found the young girl, years passed and the search parties were forced to stop and the girl was declared dead.
I t broke his heart but he knew he had to move on, and live the rest of his life with positive emotions. After all, his wife and daughter would literally hit him if she they saw him spending the rest of his life with such negative emotions, should they meet in the afterlife.
What he didn't know was that he wouldn't be reunited with his daughter in the afterlife, but in the place where she grew up years later.
