oh my god Regina thinks as she watches Emma breezing through the forest. She steps out into the open and as Emma's eyes meet hers she is almost stunned by the carefree expression of the younger blonde.
"Emma? What the hell happened to you?" Emma looks so… so frightened as she accuses Regina of being the Evil Queen and the immediate hurt she feels is almost crippling.
As she tries to explain the situation and the bond that she shares with Emma, she is quickly stopped when Emma spits "You are no one's friend. My father said that you were a liar". Suddenly Regina feels completely consumed with sadness as she looks at Emma, desperately trying to stop her bottom lip from trembling. "Y-y-you really d-d-don't remember me? U-u-us?" she whispers and Emma suddenly notices the pained expression on the brunette's face. Emma observes her for a few seconds, her mind filled with suspicion when Regina sinks down to the ground of the forest as her body is wracked with sobs.
Emma slowly creeps toward her and bends down, pulling Regina's hands from around her middle and into her own, softly stroking her palms with her thumb. "Is this a trick? I mean… You're not going to use magic or-" Emma asks as she looks at Regina's tear-stained face. "I j-j-just want to save you Emma. That's what we do dear, we save each other. And now-" Regina stops abruptly as more tears begin to spill from her eyes. Emma shuffles beside her and Regina leans into her shoulder, needing to be held but knowing that this isn't her Emma.
Emma disregards all previous distrust that she felt towards the 'Evil Queen' and gently tries to soothe the woman in her arms. "I'm so sorry Regina, please don't cry. I've got you now, I've got you".
After a while, Regina removes herself from Emma's grasp and turns to look at the blonde, while cupping Emma's cheeks with her hands. "I know you don't remember Miss Swan, but I love you. I love the way you wear your red leather jacket, the way you constantly defend me, the way you love our son unconditionally, the way you-" Emma quickly leans in and captures Regina's lips in a fierce kiss. As they break apart, Emma looks into her eyes and whispers "I love you baby. My madame mayor, my beautiful girlfriend. I love you so so much Regina Mills, now let's get home to our son".
