(In this fic Keefe got over his crush. He also told sophie after the fact)

It was a warm day in the lost cities, and it was officially break. Finally. No Neverseen, (yet) no linguistics, no Stina. Sophie was in heaven. She had even decided to try to do Iggy's hair. Given the fact that she couldn't make a hair dye for the life of her, she decided on putting little braids in his hair. "Hey," an accented voice said. "what are you doing?" "AHHH!" Sophie yelled. She turned around to see Fitz. " What are you doing here? You scared me to death, you know," she exclaimed. "I'm here for that sleepover," he said slowly. "You know, the one you arranged." Sophie internally smacked herself. She couldn't believe she'd forgotten. She began to register that she and Fitz were alone. "Where's Biana?" she asked. "Doing homework, and Keefe is pulling a prank because he's Keefe." Fitz explained. "Oh, and he asked if we were going to do that 'staring into each other's eyes thing'". "We might need to train, " Sophie replied, having no idea what she was getting herself into. "Tell me something i don't know about you," Sophie instructed. " I think I was eleven, and I had to ride a human train in New York City. I was terrified and yelled some uh, ... stuff Keefe had told me, and now you will tell me your secret please." Sophie paled. She knew she had to do this.

"I...like...someone...who...you...know and ummmm Fitz I like you!"

Fitz scooted over so he was sitting next to her. Then he slowly leaned over to her and brushed his lips against hers. Meanwhile, Sophie's mind was going into overdrive. Fitz was kissing her! It was actually happening! Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh! Unfortunately, Biana chose that exact moment to leap into the room. "What is going on?" She gasped. Sophie and Fitz both turned bright red and looked everywhere but each other. "C-cognate training," Fitz stuttered. Biana narrowed her eyes. "Uh huh," Biana said. "I'll let this go." Sophie breathed a sigh of relief. They all sat in awkward silence. Out of the blue, Marella leaped into the room. "I'm so excited!" she giggled. Sparks started flashing from her hands. Marella swatted them away.

"Hi Marella!" Fitz, Sophie, and Biana said. And the awkwardness resumed. "Woah, I'm not an empath, but some weird feelings are in here," Marella exclaimed. Biana said something, but it was drowned out by Iggy's burping. Biana immediately rushed over and played with Iggy. "Hey Sophie, i need to talk to you," Marella said.
