This is a random. The plot bunny caught up with me again. I figured I should probably type it up.
Summary: Many people would think that if Uchiha Sasuke were ever to compare the women in his life to flowers, Sakura would be a cherry blossom and Karin would be a rose right? This however was not the case.
After training Sasuke sat beside a lake by a meadow. The raven haired man had returned to Konoha a year or so before and had gotten past his 9 month probation and all his low ranked missions. His rank had shot up to Jounin and his ANBU entrance exams would be occurring soon as well. The 19-year-old sat against a tree and looked out at the field before him. He watched the flowers blowing in the breeze and realized that some bushes of roses were growing by a sakura tree causing both their blossoms to inter mingle. He thought to himself of what it reminded him of. In Sasuke's mind there were two women that stood out the most.
Karin a girl with red hair and red eyes resembled a rose very well. She was beautiful but a tad bit slutty to Sasuke. Sure she could use justu that were of use to him but that was it. In his mind she was weak and easily brought down. He pretended she was better then her. But in all actuality she wasn't. She was the cherry blossom; Pretty but frail and weak. Nothing like a rose.
Sakura a girl no… a woman with pink hair and green eyes. She was pretty, but weak when Sasuke had left. She was a cherry blossom when he abandoned the village. As he returned he realized she was different. Now she was strong and tough. She had wit and kunai as weapons to protect her self much like thorns. Her beauty was raw and nothing of it was delicate any longer. That's when Sasuke realized she was nothing like a cherry blossom. She was the rose.
So in the end Karin was the cherry blossom, quick to blossom beautifully, but was frail she fell away. Sakura was the rose, beautiful once it finally blossoms, but strong and had thorns that kept others from hurting her.
And with that Sasuke got up and headed to the Konoha Hospital to finally pick his rose from the bunch so no one else could every take her.
"What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other word would smell as sweet."
