Warning: This story doesn't have a happy ending. It is in fact, quite the opposite. Also this is my first story. I CAN write better than this.

Disclaimer: I don't own the Legend of Zelda franchise or any of the names or locations in this story.

AN- This is after the battle with Demise, in front of the pedestal where the Master Sword goes. Groose isn't there.

Link and Zelda stood in front of the gate of time. Zelda stared at the stone pedestal. "Link

I-" Zelda's body went stood completely still. Several moments passed, then she

relaxed. She turned toward Link. "Link hand me the Master Sword." she said suddenly.

Link furrowed his brow. "But why-" Zelda narrowed her eyes. Link obediently removed the

glowing sword from its sheath and handed it to her. He didn't want to make Zelda, or Hylia

angry. You don't want a goddess as your enemy. Zelda gingerly took the sword, touching

as little of it as she could. Link stared into Zelda's eyes, and for a split-second, they were

pure black, glittering with malice, then they were back to normal. Zelda snapped her

fingers, Breaking the silence and echoing around the room. A yellow and silver force field

surrounded Link and Zelda, made up of what appeared to be diamonds. Link stared at

Zelda. What was she doing? "Zelda what are you-" Link stopped short when he saw

Zelda's eyes. They were black as night, narrowed angrily at Link. Zelda's form flickered,

and for a moment, she was a young man in a diamond patterned bodysuit, a red cape,

and wearing purple makeup around his eyes. Ghirahim. Link was shocked. He knew

Ghirahim held the power of possession, but not the possession of humans! Zelda/Ghirahim

charged toward Link, aiming the Master Sword for the hero's heart. Link quickly jumped

out of the way, but as he did, Zelda grabbed a tight hold of his tunic and yanked him back.

She slammed him into the wall and punched him in the face, releasing all the magical

power she could put in in the blow. Link fell to the ground, barely conscious. Zelda easily

pinned him to the stone floor and raised the Master Sword, poised to embed it in Link's

heart. She raised the sword above her head, and for a single, forsaken moment, her eyes

were crystal blue once again. "I'm sorry." She whispered as she slammed the glowing

blade into the hero's heart. Zelda stepped back. Link convulsed on the ground,

blood spilling out of the wound. He continued to writhe in agony, until he shook once

more, and was still. Ghirahim released Zelda's spirit from his command, and left the room.

His work was finished. Zelda stared at Link's unmoving body. She knelt next to him and

gently touched his face. "I'm sorry Link." She said tears cascading from her beautiful blue

eyes. "I'm so sorry."
