Lindsay's foot wiggled as it hung over the table, "Is it cold in here? Or is it just me? Probably just me because I'm in this little…gown thing. Why do they make these things so thin? Can you talk before I lose my mind?" she asked Danny.

He grabbed her hand and kissed the inside of her wrist, "Everything's going to be fine, Montana. We're going to see our baby for the first time today. Our little girl."

"Boy."

"Girl, an adorable one with a nose that wrinkles and eyes that melt my heart."

Lindsay smiled and leaned close to kiss his cheek, "That's sweet, but it's still going to be a boy."

"Whatever you say, dear," Danny said, knowing it was a girl.

"Lindsay, how are you feeling?" Dr. Attelson asked as she came into the room.

"I'm good. Nervous."

"Well, you shouldn't be. An ultrasound is very routine."

"Are we going to be able to tell the sex?" Danny asked, bouncing slightly on his toes.

"It's possible, but not definite at this time."

"We just want to know that our baby is healthy," Lindsay said, smacking Danny on the arm, "The sex doesn't matter."

"Right," Danny said, "Because it's a girl."

Lindsay glared at him, "Don't make me hurt you in front of witnesses."

Danny wisely shut up, as the doctor laughed and gently lifted Lindsay's gown, "Okay, this will be a little cold," she said as she spread the gel over her stomach."

"Does it hurt her?" Danny asked, clutching Lindsay's hand tightly.

The doctor smiled, well used to protective fathers, "Not at all. It just tickles a bit."

Danny nodded, his eyes locked on the screen. He was silent as the tiny picture formed. Lindsay gasped, reaching out to touch the screen, "Is that…."

"Yes, that's your baby. And I hate to tell you, but your husband seems to have guessed right. I can't be positive yet, but it looks like you are having a girl."

Lindsay's eyes filled with tears, "A girl, Danny, a girl."

"I know," he whispered, kissing her head, "I love you."

"I love you," she whispered, turning her head to kiss him.

Doctor Attelson smiled, "She's healthy too. We'll just print you out a picture and…"

"Picture," Danny said, "We can show everyone at work and my Ma and…."

Lindsay giggled as Danny goes on and on, "Yes, baby, whoever you want."

"The whole world," Danny said, smiling widely, "I'm going to have a little girl." He

Lindsay smiled at the doctor, "Should I apologize for him?"

Doctor Attelson shook her head, "No, plenty of soon to be father's do this," the doctor stopped and watched Danny praying to god and then….the Yankees, "Well okay, maybe not that."

Lindsay shook her head, "Our little girl's first word is going to be baseball."
