Help Me and Crush

Two drabbles highlighting Azkadellia's mental state a few months after her posession by the Witch. The first is of herself and the second is of her relationship with DG. Written for tinman100 word prompt challenge #18 "We'll see" on Livejoural.

"We'll see…."

"How dare she speak to me like that?"

Azkadellia stopped and grabbed the handle of the door leading to the oratory. She pressed her forehead on the old wood. She left her open palm slide down it, taking in the smoothness. Knowing that a thousand handprints had worn it down gave her little comfort.

"She always lets DG get her way. Why do you tolerate that?"

Azkadellia's open palm clenched together and she pounded out her frustration.

"No, that's not true," she mumbled.

She slipped through the door and knelt before Saint Glinda.

"Please…, help me," she prayed.

"Did'ja ask Mother if you could have a fairy bracelet?" DG asked as she hurried next to Azkadellia.

Azkadellia glowered at her but then resumed to staring straight ahead. Mockingly she replied, "We'll see…that's what she told me." She paused as she let the heat flow thru her; it felt good. She added angrily, "And it's an armlet, not a bracelet!"

DG hugged her books closer to her.

"Why be so concerned about it anyway? You know mine'll be better."

DG looked up and saw Azkadellia's smug expression of satisfaction. She sighed and rushed to match her sister's long strides.
