Pauline was the proud mayor of New Donk City, but she hasn't had any chance of hanging out with some of the most known celebrities of the Nintendo world. Which is why she invited Toadette and Birdo to have a nice cup of coffee in one of the parks populating the city... little did they know it was going to be gusty.
"Is it always windy in this city?" Toadette asked.
Pauline shook her head. "Well not normally. But I guess this place is pretty high when you consider-" She then glanced to her right to see her umbrella get picked up by the wind, gasping as she tried grabbing onto it, only for it to get out of her grasp. "My umbrella!"
"Sit right there, Pauline, I'll get it back!" Birdo interjected as she jumped up, using some of the fluttering kicks she learned from a certain dinosaur to flutter towards the umbrella, managing to grab the umbrella as the wind pushed her around the park, with Birdo losing her grasp as she landed in the fountain, splashing water everywhere. "Oof... great, now my bow is ruined..."
"We can't just sit here and do nothing! After that umbrella!" Toadette exclaimed as she twirled around, changing from her regular pink clothing to her treasure tracker archivist outfit as she dashed as fast as she could, with Pauline going right after her as the New Donkers watched in confusion, the umbrella heading northward as it began to look a bit stormy in the otherwise clear day.
Yoshizilla-Rhedosaurus: You know what, there was no fanfic that had Pauline, Toadette, and Birdo all together, and by that I mean all three of them doing something. So I decided to do something about it. And I had this story's author note at the bottom both because I didn't want to take away from the story, and for a different change of pace.
