In an average house, on an average street, there was an an average family. The Smiths. They come from the United States but live in England. They weren't too average but for normal standards they were quite average.

Erin, the mother, was a Tall woman in her early thirties with frizzy blonde hair, brown eyes and so many freckles she looked tan.

George, the father, was tall too and had quite a bit of bulk. He had a black beard, a bushy moustache, was bald and had astonishingly beautiful green eyes.

Alex, the eldest by exactly four minutes and thirty two seconds had inherited his mother's brown eyes and his father's black hair. He was the family favorite. And Aria.

Aria was the one special part of this otherwise normal family. She had wavy blonde hair, her father's green eyes and a slight smattering of freckles on her nose and cheeks.

This was a normal school day for the Smiths.

This story Happens when Aria is Eleven.

Aria jumped out of bed. Summer vacation had finally begun! No more school. Not that she was looking forward to the three months at home. Reading in the park was fun though (they live across the street from a park). Alex was probably just going to spend the whole vacation on his Xbox. He was Her parent's favorite.

You see, Aria was a social outcast. She spent more time reading and studying than she spent time with others. Everyone else preferred Alex. He was the social one. Though his grades were considerably lower than hers. Her parents didn't care much about her though.

She ran downstairs and started boiling water for oatmeal. The others would probably eat a traditional English breakfast (fried eggs, fried tomatoes, beans, potatoes and bacon).

at ten thirty

"mornin Sis" Alex said as he came downstairs.

"Gooden Morgan" Aria replied.

"What"

"Thats German for good morning" Aria explained.

Alex looked annoyed. "I know. I meant why did you say that."

"Why didn't you say so?" Aria Asked as she busied herself with frying the bacon.

"Because..." he stopped. He saw no way to win this argument.

A/N: I know. A cliffhanger
