Don't own.
Amy sighed as she pulled the page from her typewriter and folded it. It was one of the most difficult things she had had to do since saying goodbye to her raggedy man in 2012. The door to the room opened and she turned to see her daughter step in.
"It's ready," Amy said, her voice now beginning to show signs of age.
"Did you tell him the truth?" River asked as she pocketed the last words Amelia Pond would ever say to the Doctor.
"I told him what he needed to hear," she said her voice strong.
River just nodded in understanding. This was the only way the Doctor would be able to move on, believing that his friend's sacrifice had lead to a happy ending. As she lifted her wrist to punch the coordinates into the vortex manipulator she looked at her mother, now worn from years of a solitary life.
"I hear he goes by Rip now," Amy said suddenly, not looking away from the window.
"I'll tell him you say hello," River offered quietly.
"Tell him to live well," Amy requested sadly. "To live well and love Rory."
"I will mummy."
With that she disappeared in a flash of light once again leaving Amy Pond alone in her apartment, looking out at the world.
"Take care of yourself, you and your stupid face." She mumbled as the dusk set and the stars came out.
Okay, so my idea was that the time in the TARDIS changed Rory to the point that he basically became something similar to a Time Lord. He wasn't able to grow old with Amy and ended up taking over the Time Agency after it fell, rebranding the agents as Time Masters. They operate in the shadows but he is always on the lookout for the Doctor and River.
