Peace Offering

a/n: Established relationship between Satoshi and Daisuke. And both Krad and Dark have their own bodies here. Hey it's AU why not? Oh and they're in their late teens here.
It was their first Christmas together. Daisuke and Satoshi had finally gotten together 'officially' in February. Dark reluctantly gave them his 'blessings' since he couldn't stand the sight of his other half hiding his pain. He still didn't trust the pale blue-haired boy Daisuke seemed so enamored with (once he'd finally gotten a clue about Satoshi's obvious affections).
Dark sighed and made a point to get something for Satoshi for Christmas, it was more a peace offering than anything, he supposed.
Christmas Eve found the two lovers curled up in front of the fire and their other 'halves' bickering in the kitchen. With had long since devoured an entire box of liquor chocolates (much to Daisuke's protests) and was now passed out snoring on the dining room table. Daisuke sighed contentedly, sitting against Satoshi's chest and smiled into the kiss that was pressed firmly on his lips.
"Shall we open one present tonight?"
"Sure," replied the pale boy.
"Dark! Krad! We're opening gifts!" yelled the excited redhead as he pulled out a few gifts; one for each person.
When they all sat down and began the present frenzy, a small gasp could be heard from Satoshi's lips. He raised his eyes to Dark's, "You got me something."
Dark nodded, "Well, I couldn't very well get you nothing. You're practically family."
Satoshi felt a rare smile caress his lips and warmth settle in him.
"Thank you," he said quietly.
Both Krad and Daisuke shared a smile and glanced at a somewhat embarrassed Dark. It would be a good Christmas, they thought.
