He was chasing Bones around the lab. They sometimes did this, once everybody had went home and it was nearing midnight. They had the lab to themselves. He would hug her, and she'd run from him, grinning ear to ear. He'd figured out quickly that he was supposed to follow her until he could wrap his arms around her again. It was a game she loved to play because she told him it reminded her of what her brother used to do when they were both really little children. He was basically on a leash, he'd do anything to make her happy. She thought he was more like a teddy bear than he was a lion like he tried to be.
Baby let me be,Your lovin' teddy bearPut a chain around my neck,And lead me anywhereOh let me beYour teddy bear.
Around her, he didn't want to be the fierce guy he wanted to be around the murderers he caught. He didn't want to be too rough with her. She'd never fall in love with that fierce guy. He was her teddy bear, he was a softy around her. He just wished she'd let him love her.I don't wanna be a tigerCause tigers play too roughI don't wanna be a lionCause lions aint the kindYou love wanna be, your teddy bearPut a chain around my neckAnd lead me anywhereOh let me beYour teddy bear.
He wanted to be with her every time he could. He wanted her arms around his neck, snuggling as close to him as possible.Baby let me be, around you every nightRun your fingers through my hair,And cuddle me real tight
