He was everything to me...and yet that wasn't enought reason for him to stay...
She's at the cemetery again. She's been going in there everyday since the last war. Everything's at peace now, Voldemort is dead, so is some of his Death Eaters, the others who managed to survive however were imprisoned for good.
The weather seems to be mocking her; she looked up at the cloudy sky as the rain slowly poured at my face. She smiled bitterly...he loved the rain...
Tears started to fall from her face, mixing together with the rain water. Her heart's breaking into a million pieces as shards of memory starts to flash in her mind again.
"Please don't leave...I beg you..."
"Hermione...I have to, he'll kill my family...I have to be ther...to defend them..."
"Please don't...leave me...I don't want to loose you."
His hand caressed her cheek. "You will not loose me...I promise...I promise..."
She stopped in front of a tombstone. She kneeled in front of it and traced the name embroidered in it with her shaking fingers...
"Oh Draco..." Her lips quivered. "I need you Draco...I miss you so much..."
And she cried as if there's no tomorrow, sobbing loudly as she embraces the tombstone muttering his name over and over again...
After their defeat of Voldemort, many was badly wounded and Draco was one of them. They rushed him to St. Mungo's but they said that the wounds were too severe that they can't do anything about it. But in his agonizing moments, Hermione stayed beside him...clutching his hand tightly in hers.
"H-Hermione..."
Hermione shifted from her sleep and looked at Draco. "D-Draco? Are you awake? Oh please Draco answer me..."
"H-Hermione..."
Tears silently poured down her face. "Yes...yes Draco, I-I'm here...beside you..."
A small smile traced on his lips. His eyes slowly opened to look at her. He raised a feeble hand and wiped her tears...
"Wh-Why are you crying love...?"
"O-Oh Draco...I love you so much...please...please don't leave me..."
"L-Leave you...? I promised I'll stay with you...do you remember...?"
Hermione slowly nodded and smiled.
"Hermione...I-I love you...no matter what happens...I will always...love you..."
His breathing's out of rhythm now. He gasping for air...
"Oh no..Draco..." She clutched his hand tightly as if this will secure him to her.
"-mione...love...you...Hermione..." He keeps on saying over and over again. Tears were also pouring down his face now.
But the cruel fate bounded upon them. Draco's hand slowly slipped from Hermione's grip.
"NO! DRACO! OH...please..." She wailed and embraced his now lifeless body. "Draco...please say it again...say you love me...please...say it again..."
But there was nothing but silence...
The rain stopped now. Hermione's still embracing Draco's tombstone as if it was him...
"Draco...please...I want to hear it again...I want to hear you say you love me...I want to hear it again..." She whimpered.
A rush of wind glided upon her direction...enveloping her body with it's warmth...
And that's when she realized that Draco has never indeed left her...he has always been there...silently watching her...
He did keep his promise...
