Jackie opened the door a little wider saying, "Steven! I'm almost ready."

Hyde walked in and sat on the couch to wait, knowing it'd be a while. About half an hour later, Jackie emerged from her room. "All set?" he asked.

She nodded as he helped her with her coat, and they got in Hyde's car to go eat.

At the table, Jackie babbled on about her day, and Hyde actually listened. She went on about work, fashion laws broken, and a sale she went to. Hyde listened to every word she said, and everything registered in his brain, but he wasnt really paying attention. The only things going through his head were the box in his pocket and finding the time to act. When there was finally a lull in the conversation, Hyde stood up, pulling out the box as he did so. "Jackie, I love you."

He got down on one knee and popped open the velvet box. Before he could ask the question, Jackie snatched up the ring and slid it on her finger as she squealed, "Yes, Steven. I will marry you."

Hyde stood up and caught Jackie as she jumped into his arms. This was the beginning of something amazing.
