"Daddy, why are you looking at me so much?!" Five year old Little Leia asked and covered her face with her hands, feeling embarrassed and self-conscious.
Anakin looked at the time. It was true. He had been staring at her for the last ten minutes. He couldn't help it.
Little Leia had been busy playing with her fancy dolls at the table as he sat next to her and she had suddenly stopped, noticing her father's gaze.
He had been having thoughts of his mother floating in his mind as he had stared at his little daughter Leia. His own flesh and blood right in front of him which was at one time more than a rarity before she and Luke had been born. He remembered that time well when he had first held the twins, he thought the tears would never stop.
"I'm sorry." Anakin replied sweetly rubbing Leia's back kindly, comforting and reassuring her.
"You make daddy not just think of how much you're like your mommy, but you make daddy think of his mom as well. Your grandma Shmi."
"How come?" Leia asked curiously.
"Well, you're both girls for one." He replied." And you're kind and brave and strong like her." He said recalling when his mother had urged him to leave after he had been given his freedom.
"Oh." Leia replied her face blushing red. And with that she started playing again, grabbing one of her dolls that was dressed in a royal blue gown.
Anakin couldn't help but smile at the sight.
