Ch. 0: Prologue

"Jiyeon, are you sure about this? You know how your father gets when you suddenly disappear like this," Park Jiyeon's closet friend, Kimiko Miragae, said to her as the pair made their way over to her place. The short-haired, ebon-eyed female looked at her friend with a look that said she wasn't at all joking and serious about her decision that made poor little Kimiko sigh in defeat. "What am I going to do about you?"

"Nothing actually, but I do want to thank you once again for allowing me to come over to your place for the time being," Jiyeon said, looking up at the sky as she suddenly stopped moving. "I would hate to go home and see my old man drunk and running about the house while mother is gone." Kimiko looked at her friend through a curtain of long, caramel brown curls and started to say something when the two females her a dog's bark.

"Where's that coming from?" Kimiko questioned. She looked at her watch and screamed lightly, running off while apologizing for having to leave Jiyeon alone. The Korean native sighed and turned towards where the sound was and ran towards it. After running for at least a minute or two, Jiyeon eyes landed on a lone dog barking at a young man with blonde hair, a pair of circular glasses, and a rather large coat clinging to a branch on the tree.

"Please get that thing away from me! Please!" he cried, tears running down his face. Once again Jiyeon sighed and shooed off the offending dog, watching as the man climbed down from the tree. "Thank you, miss. Thank you for saving me from that dog." The strange blonde grabbed Jiyeon's narrow hands in his and gave her a bright smile. The Korean quickly took her hands away from his and gave him a wary smile before sitting down on a park bench. "You're welcome. My intention at first was to leave you there but you looked so scared that even someone like myself couldn't hold back and not reach out to help you," she said, looking up at the tree that that man was just in. She sighed and started to fish for that pack of Pocky she had hidden somewhere in her bag. "I need to find a place before the night decides to take me away." Sudden, out of the blue, the cloaked blonde beau turned her to face him and he smiled.

"I have a place for you," he said. "Just follow this small map and I promise you'll find your new home." Jiyeon blinked once, twice, and went for a double take before opening her mouth to protest; but nothing came out as she had realized that her personal space had been invaded and that the cloaked man's lips were now on her forehead. Once he pulled away, Jiyeon quickly pushed him further away, wiping off anything that was on her forehead.

"The hell is your-hm? Where did he go?" Jiyeon looked around and shrugged, standing to see a piece of paper that looked like a mini map land on the cobble stone under her feet. Picking it up she examined it and went to grab her bags, walking off with the map as her guide.

A home is a home right? Aish, I just hope this isn't a trick.
