A poem about Afiko, the betrayer of the Air Nomads. Sort of a sympathy for the villain peice.

Kinslayer

The work of my hands cannot be undone

No where to go, no way to return

Abandoning the title of brother and son

Once a proud house is now nil

An empty house lies forlorn upon a hill

The most natural ties, I did spurn

When my own blood I did spill

A kin slayer can never return

A creature to hate, to attack, to shun

A dangerous animal with a human's skill

My ears ring with the tales spun

Over shared drink of putrid swill

Exaggerate my story as you will

Truth and lies you cannot discern

Repeating as always that bitter pill

A kin slayer can never return

No where to go, no where to run

No home to build, no field to till

Only to finish what I can begun

Only an exile, to wander still

For a law of man you must fulfill

That mark into my flesh you burn

You will hound me forever until

A kin slayer can never return

No one asked why I did kill

Perhaps no one cares to learn

All I hear is shouts so shrill

A kin slayer can never return
