Post-2 season. Mark/Roxanne. Just a little fluffy scratch.
She woke up and smiled as she remembered last night and with whom she fall asleep yesterday. There was Mark, holding her in his hands and sleeping restful in front of her, on his couch, in his man cave. They spent incredible night together, so now she felt amazingly wonderful for so early hours.
And then she was about to make the biggest mistake - she started to Think. She and Mark. She. And MARK…
He shifted a little as if he read her mind and hastened to prevent anything stupid she was going to a far-fetched. He opened his eyes and smiled at her.
'Hi.'
'Hi', she smiled back, looking right in his sleepy eyes. 'I still can't believe it's true', she confessed. 'You and me…' In tiny sec there was a fear appearing in her eyes, but he managed to notice it. 'Look, maybe we should move on? The night was great, we had a lot of fun, but-'
'Roxanne, wait', he stopped her babble. Then he took a sitting position and clumsily rolled over her and stood up. She frowned and took a vertical position, too. 'Look, I… we are… It was one night stand, right?' He asked helpfully as he saw a pain flashed in her eyes. 'I know, I should have noticed this a bit earlier but it all happened so fast and… Well.' He told it flatly and heartlessly as if he wasn't bothered by her unshed tears, which she tried so hard not to shed right now.
'Oh.' She said with a small voice and tried to sound as usual - normal, strong and carelessly. 'OH!.. Okay. Good.' She stood up and started to pull her cloth on, as fast as she could. 'It's… yeah! That's right. And that is exactly what I wanted. I mean, you and me – what a joke, huh?' Her hands were shaken when she put the sweater on and tried to zip the jeans.
He sighed, arms crossed, as he stepped in front of her. 'Rox, what're you doin'?'
'Wha… what?' She was really confused by question.
He crossed the space between them in a moment and pulled her close, his lips quickly found hers, and he kissed her hard while she wondered what's going on, still and small. 'Rox, I was joking', he whispered in her ear, holding her tightly.
'You… were?..' Her voice cracked as she looked up at him.
'Of course I was! Roxanne, stop it. Stop it, please. Let us take a chance. Let yourself take a chance. To be happy, just once.'
Tears were in her eyes as she spoke, 'It's just… I already did it, you know. I did it twice and it cost me too much-'
'Honey, if he broke your heart twice, it's only mean that he is double jerk. But don't let him make you miserable because of that. You deserve to be happy. And I gonna show you, how much you deserve it. Okay?..'
She just stared in his blue eyes and somehow relaxed, and believed in his words. So she sighed reluctantly.
'So it's really happening?'
'Oh yeah!' He assured her, putting a light kiss on her forehead while she smiled radiantly. 'Trust me, it is happening. Just like I planned.'
'Oh, shut up', she hit him in the chest playfully. 'What we gonna do now?'
He looked at her meaningfully.
'I mean… after that'. She chalked.
'How about take a breakfast and tell everyone then?'
'Hmm. And what do you have?'
He smiled, 'Let's have a look?' and leaded her to the fridge, still hold her tight to his chest.
'Bear, chips and… onions? Why on Earth do you need onion?'
He shut the door. 'Okay. Changing plan: we go to the bar and tell everyone while eating!'
She laughed as he caught her smile with his lips.
The end.
Let me know, what you think! :)
