As some asked so, I wrote the prequel of "Kissing the teacher". Ejoy I didn't took the month I thought I would. Let me know what you think. I hope my English is not that bad...

Dear Professor Dumbledore,

As you asked me before I left, I am writing you to announce that I have been accepted in the Auror training. Alastor Moody was on my board of examination and I hope you don't have anything to do with my selection.

I left for less than two weeks but I am already missing the cattle, the lessons and even more our training and discussion. I accept your decision but I do not understand it, nor approve it. I feel there is something you didn't tell me and I don't know what it is or why you didn't. I will start my formation tomorrow and won't be able to write for a while. Let me know how you are though.

Best regards,

Minerva McGonagall.

Dear Minerva,

I hope it is alright with you if I use your given name. I am no longer your teacher 'Professor Dumbledore' or Professor wouldn't be appropriate now.

Congratulation for you selection even if there was no doubt in my mind that you'll be. I am proud to say that I do not have anything to do with it and you deserve it with your own talents. I am glad you met Alastor. Perhaps could you tell him my hello and – if you find the time to write an old teacher – could you tell me how he is doing.

I miss you as well, Minerva and understand perfectly your reaction. The cattle is empty now and my evenings seems lonely without your cheerfulness to light them. Don't worry I am sure you will soon forget the poor thing who taught you transfiguration during your school days and you will not have time for regret during your formation. I have to stop writing now, the headmaster wait for my help about some boring meeting.

Regards,

Albus Dumbledore.

Dear Deputy Headmaster,

You are right about not being my teacher anymore, but that is only your doing. I would be so glad if you were still…

The training here is really restless. I find myself so exhausted at night that I can't do anything but sleep till I have to go the next morning. Fortunately the instructors are attending a meeting right now so I jumped on a quill and a parchment to answer you last letter. It has been two weeks already, time just seems to fly!

I think I made quite an impression on the instructors yesterday. We had a dual lesson with four trained Auror and I manage to stupefy two of them, transfigure one in a small desk and sharp quite hard the last one in my animagus form. You were such a better opponent! By the way, you don't have to worry about you friend when he entered in the room I was nicely sitting on the desk, washing my pawn like a tabby but he didn't catch that and made a cage around me. I recognise that I deserved it. He had to release me to turn the desk back in human form.

The training is not every day that fun. We had last week something about spying and I had to spend 8 hours lying on a branch without moving and therefore no transforming. They had to bring me down at the end. I couldn't move a muscle. Next time, I'll transform before I climb the tree.

I hope you are not too lonely in Hogwart. If you need to speak with someone and there is no one around, I am sure one of the ghosts will gladly help you! Or just go swim in the lake, the giant squib will have some company…

Best regards,

Minerva McGonagall.
