Happy Birthday French Rose aka Nike Slash! Just so you know, this is probably the only Lyn/Eliwood thing you will ever see from me.

Lord Eliwood loved his wife deeply. And one night...before the two became engaged, Lord Eliwood suddenly disappeared from the castle. When he returned to his love three days later, he presented her with a beautiful white flower which only grows in the snowy highlands. It was the flower which she loved the most. -Marcus to Lilina; Fire Emblem: Fuuin no Tsurugi

Naga'sBell

Lyn had no idea why he had done this.

Before that day, Lyn hadn't even heard of this particular breed of flower. It grew only in the snowy highlands, far from the land she grew up in. It was a soft shade of white, with a bell like shape and a pinkish rim. Eliwood told her that it was the Naga's Bell, which was said to bring good luck and live, even when plucked, for as long as a dragon, even if it only blooms for a short time when not picked. But Lyn loved the flower regardless, it was truly beautiful and she could see the scratches, no matter how hard he tried to cover them.

When Lyn had died, Eliwood cast it aside, thinking himself a fool to believe in such superstition. Roy had never seen his father so grieved.

A thousand years later, another young couple was brought together by the descendant of the flower Eliwood had picked. The deity who had tried to get them together knew this, and thought as she watched the two awkwardly hug, "I see that the flower from a time past's sorrow has finally been undone."

Yeah, totally just did that. I combined two utterly unrelated shippings in a way that (kind of?) makes sense. Well, French Rose did you like it? I hope so, the Lyn/Eliwood made me admittedly a little sick... since I was warping the main evidence against Lyn/Eliwood into a Lyn/Eliwood (and Morgan/Nah) story. I need a life.
