Sasuke is a kleptomaniac. Of this, he is well aware.

He takes and takes and takes until he is sure Sakura can give no more, but she does. It seems that she always has something for him: kindness, compassion, happiness, love. The list goes on. She gives with all her soul, and he takes with equal fervor. He suffocates with the feelings and loves it all the while.

Sakura is worth more than this, and if asked, he admits this openly, but that does not change his actions. What he takes is freely offered, but she deserves better. He knows he is stealing this.

Sasuke also steals from Naruto, because Sakura should be giving to him. They both deserve so much more than him; he is only pain and hollow reminders of their childhood that he burned. They deserve the joy they could give each other, rather than the sorrow he can inflict. Naruto loves them both too much to admit it, but Sasuke knows he burns and bleeds and weeps because of losing Sakura. He knows, but he cannot stop himself, he needs what they give him. Compulsively, he leeches off their gifts of emotion like a starving man. He thinks he could possibly die without them.

He steals a brotherly bond from Naruto, a lover's heart from Sakura, and he will always come back for more. It becomes easier and harder each day to steal. As Sakura holds him tighter, he watches Naruto shatter, and he chips away bits of their souls to press against his lips and soak up.

He is a thief, and he is not proud of it, but he will never change.
