Author's Note: Just a little ficlet I wrote in seriously about ten or fifteen minutes. I didn't really go over and edit it or anything. It's not amazing, just a cute mini fanfic that I felt had to be written. While this could be considered slash, it doesn't have to be.
Prince's Problem
It was a cold night and the stars were hidden behind clouds, making it impossible to see anything beyond the meager light cast by the small fire. Tony and Prince Wendell sat beside the flames, listening to the embers pop and to Virginia quietly snoring a few feet away. As soon as she had fallen asleep, Wolf had disappeared into the darkness, leaving Tony and Prince alone.
"Are you all right, Prince? You're so quiet; normally you'd be insulting me or complaining," Tony asked with a chuckle as he rubbed his arms to warm himself.
Prince sighed. "Actually, Anthony, I'm not all right. There's something I've been meaning to talk to you about for a while. It's going to drive me crazy if I don't speak up."
"What is it?" Tony wondered.
"First you must promise to speak of this to no one," Prince said. "Especially not to Wolf, and not to Virginia either, in case Wolf finds out from her. This isn't very princely. This isn't very manly at all, I'm afraid. And you know how Wolf is, he's liable to harass me about it until the day he dies."
"This is between you and me, I swear," Tony replied. "What's the problem?"
"It's actually rather embarrassing," the dog said, stretching out on the leaves. "We're fairly close, right, Anthony?"
Tony shrugged. "Yeah, I guess so."
"Well… I hope this doesn't make it awkward between us," Prince said. He took a breath and let it out slowly, searching for the right words. "I've had these feelings lately. I wouldn't bring it up, but the feelings have been particularly bad for the past few hours, and I know if I don't do something about it, then the rest of this little adventure is going to be miserable."
Tony looked concerned. "What are you trying to say, Prince?" he asked.
Prince groaned and put his paws over his eyes. "Anthony… could you… rub my belly?"
"Ha! Is that all?" Tony cried. His eyes shot to his sleeping daughter and he quickly covered his mouth and started over again, quieter this time. "Is that all? You just want me to rub your belly?"
Prince whimpered.
"No problem," Tony said with a smile.
Prince rolled over onto his back, exposing his stomach. Tony leaned down and rubbed and scratched. One of Prince's legs twitched in the air, and he moaned in ecstasy. "That's the spot! Faster!" Tony scratched faster and Prince flipped over, satisfied. "You've had lots of practice doing that, haven't you?" he said, panting.
"Well, some, yeah," Tony mumbled.
"That was wonderful," Prince murmured, crawling a bit closer to Tony and resting his head beside Tony's shoe. "Would you mind doing that again next time I get a feeling?"
"Not at all," Tony replied.
"Good. Just remember, this is our secret," Prince said. "I promise I'll repay you some day."
Tony laughed. "I think anything you could do for me that feels that good would be really socially unacceptable."
"Be quiet, Anthony. Don't be a pervert," Prince sighed, rolling his eyes.
