"Are they here?"

"They will come!" A voice snapped.

"We've been waiting far too long."

"Why?" A faded gray cat snapped.

"You dare to question our motives?" A thin brown she cat hissed.

"Yes, I do." The gray cat hissed her tail lashing. "Thunderclan was my life; I gave up everything to keep it alive. Now you're saying it will be gone without this one cat who we can't even rely on, we can't even find it."

"Silence Bluestar!" A large orange tom growled walking up behind her. She turned and hissed at him, but did not say any more.

"You think you're so strong, all of you do, why is that?" The she-cat asked, glaring at the tom and she-cat.

"Were it not for us you would never have been kitted!" The orange tom hissed. "And unlike you, we will never fade from the memory of all cats, living and dead. One day you won't exist here as any more than a shadow, but we always will, we will be here, as we were the day we died!"

"Not if the clans are destroyed! They will be forgotten! And with them you!" Bluestar hissed and resisted clawing the cat.

"That will never happen." Said a brown female, approaching from behind.

"Wind, so you did decide to come after all." The male nodded.

"Yes Thunder, I take it our efforts failed?"

"Unfortunately, yes, we thought the three, then four would save them for good, but it can't." Thunder hissed.

"Then you're saying the clans are doomed?" Bluestar questioned, her fur bristling.

"Possibly." Thunder answered, his eyes filled with grief.

"How dare you give us all false hope!" A cat screeched. His brown fur stuck up, his eyes flashing fury. "Firestar died for nothing then?"

"Silence Bramblestar!" Thunder growled, cuffing the cat across his head.

"You dare to question us? The very reason you lived?" Wind glared.

"You are the founding five! You should have foreseen this!" Bramblestar screamed.

"We are not all knowing!" Thunder scolded. "We know you, we can guess what you're going to do, but we don't know what NATURE will do."

Goosefeather was shook awake, and he glared at the cat, and then realized she was still asleep. He'd been having such an interesting dream.

"Wake up Silverclaw." He growled, prodding the she-cat.

She shot up her eyes wide and scared.

"It was just a dream Silverclaw." Goosefeather said gently nudging her. "Come on, we need go out hunting."

"Okay." The silver she-cat said stretching out her legs.
