AN: Hello everyone, this is my first fan fiction on my new account, my old one NadyaChekov is no longer in use because quite frankly I forgot my password. ANYWHOSELL enjoy the story. J
Through the darkness I can hear my phone vibrate on the floor. The light buzz wakes only me, I know this because no one else moves. I roll softly onto my stomach and run my hand along the floor trying to find my phone, which is still vibrating. I pick it up and flip it open, it stops vibrating. Seeing who it is I close my phone and gently slide out of bed and I stretch my spine once my feet are back on the floor. I lean over and softly kiss his forehead. I then carry my phone amidst the rest of me across the room to my laptop.
Then I pick it up as well and carry it out to the living room with me. I situate myself on the couch, phone on lap and computer on the coffee table. It still smells like caramel in here, the scent having wafted from the kitchen when they were making sundaes this evening. The couch below me is soft and I take a minute before turning on my computer just to sit and breathe. The air is cool around me, we like it colder at night, and the soft rumble of the dryer rings gently throughout the house.
I gently pull the top of my laptop up and press the power button in the top right corner of the keyboard. It instantly starts to make the familiar noise that it does when it starts running, and this is immediately followed by a stream of colorless light that comes from the screen. I drag my finger around the mouse pad, impatient for the computer to start up. The screen starts to load and I know it will take a while, so I opt for a better distraction while waiting and I get off the couch. I go into the kitchen and pull out a glass, I'm going old school. I pull the milk and chocolate syrup out of the fridge and I pour some into the glass. I then find a spoon in the drawer and mix my midnight cocktail together before putting all the ingredients back away.
By the time I get back to my self made nest in the couch cushions, my computer is done loading. I open the internet browser and then pull out my phone. I type in the address in the text and it takes me to a social website. A message appears the second it's done loading.
"Hello."
So I immediately type a reply.
"Hey, I'm really sorry we have to talk this way, I know how you hate muggle technology."
"That's not what's important, I just need to talk to you."
"Okay, then what's wrong?"
"How can you infer that something is wrong just based on that?"
"I know you S, I know that you never have to talk to me unless something bad is happening."
"Alright, I believe you. I had it again."
"The nightmare?"
"Yes of course the nightmare what else could it possibly be that haunts my mind that much?"
"It's okay, you don't need to snap at me like that, I'm not giving you the nightmares."
"I know that, and I apologize, but L they're starting to scare me. And you know that I hardly ever admit when that happens."
"Yeah I know, I know…."
"Just promise me you're doing everything you can to keep yourself safe?"
"Of course I am. I know you're worried but everything is going to be alright."
"Are you quite sure about that my dear?"
"Very sure, now Severus, can I please go back to sleep with my husband?"
"Of course Lily, who I am to stop you?"
