A song inspired and loosely based on Tolkien's "Where now the Rider" poem in "The King of the Golden Hall," The Two Towers. It is meant to be sung to the tune of HaTikvah, the Israeli national anthem.
Where now the Rider racing 'cross the plain?
Where now the Harpist, never heard again?
Where now the fiercesome helm and pale hair bright?
Who'll tend the pyre-flames, Far into the night?
Rain on the mountain, wind across the grass:
They come to nothing, now they too must pass.
Foul deeds awaken; oaths fate claims of thee.
Red be the dawn sun; prove thy fealty.
Who now shall gather timbre for the flames,
When Rohan's sons prove worth of Eorl's name?
