JKR owns HP, SCC owns Cinderella

Bill smiled at his little girl; she was spinning around the room in her ballet leotard. Fleur had insisted she went to lessons. Something about being graceful, Victoire wasn't really interested but she went for her mother. When she got there, she loved it. Teddy had got incredibly angry as it shortened his time with Vic. Bill had laughed, it was a well known fact the two would end up together.

She spins and she sways
To whatever song plays
Without a care in the world
And I'm sitting here wearing
The weight of the world on my shoulders

She stopped spinning and ran over to Bill. She tugged on his arm and pulled him into the room.

"Daddy, dance with me! Prince Charming has asked me to the ball, but I need to practice my dancing! I can't make a fool of myself!"

Bill laughed, he would have to talk to Fleur about that copy of Cinderella she had bought for Vic.

"DADDY! IT'S NOT FUNNY!"

"I know it's not sweetheart. OK, stand on my feet…"

It's been a long day
And there's still work to do
She's pulling at me
Saying "Dad, I need you
There's a ball at the castle
And I've been invited
And I need to practice my dancing
Oh, please, Daddy, please?"

Bill smiled down at his little girl and lifted her up and kissed her forehead.

"Go on now. Daddy's got work to do."

"OK Daddy. Love you."

"Love you too."

So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'Cause I know something the prince never knew
Oh, I will dance with Cinderella
I don't want to miss even one song
'Cause all too soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone...
"Andrew's really nice Daddy. I bet you'd be impressed. So, what do you think of my dress?" Victoire asked spinning.

Victoire was now 15 and in her 5th year at Hogwarts. The school was having a ball the week after the Christmas holidays and Victoire was going with a boy named Andrew. In Bill's opinion, nobody was good enough for his girls.

Bill looked at his little girl all grown up. She truly did look beautiful. The dress was a dark shade of blue and was beaded under the chest. She looked so mature. Bill wondered where all the years had gone.

"Daddy, the dance is in a week, will you help me practice?"

"Vic, I have work to do…"

"Please Daddy, for five minutes."

Bill caved.

She says he's a nice guy and I'd be impressed
She wants to know if I approve of the dress
She says, "Dad, the prom is just one week away
And I need to practice my dancing
Oh, please, Daddy, please?"

Long gone were the days of dancing on Daddy's feet. Bill placed his hand on his daughter's waist and they waltzed around the room.

So I will dance with Cinderella
While she is here in my arms
'Cause I know something the prince never knew
Oh, I will dance with Cinderella
I don't want to miss even one song
'Cause all too soon the clock will strike midnight
And she'll be gone

She will be gone

Bill couldn't believe how much time he'd wasted.

Victoire had grown up so quickly and he had hoped he'd have a second chance with Dominique but she became the dreaded middle child. Drinking, doing drugs, having sex…

Fleur and Bill were seriously worried about her; she zoomed off into a world of adults and completely missed the adolescent stage.

And sweet little Louis, Bill knew he'd be just fine…
