Deathly Jester: I have no idea how many years it's been since I've left FFN. I entered a terrible state of being where I needed to recover. The stress of FFN was too much for my frail self, and I'm so sorry I let myself see this as a job when it should have continued to be the fun place I could create stories and bring you all joy. I honestly cried when reading reviews and PMs asking where I'd gone. I didn't think I really touched any of you guys. But to make up for that I'm going to start to reactivate my account. I'd like to start with this story for a bit and slowly rebuild my account and bring it back up to the top *Winks* So without a further adue here is the remake of 'A Vampires Life' Thank you all for waiting and continuing to push me.
A beautiful white world spun around me, only capturing small flashes of midnight blue and bubblegum pink. It seemed as if they were dancing inside the swirling world. A light airy, yet angry voice flared up behind me
"Amu, AMU!"
My beautiful world started to bleed red.
"Amu get yo backside out of your bed before I Drag you out of it!" I awoke half way through the dream sentence, which fused into a very real, very angry blond blob standing above my fuzzy eyes.
I wiped the dream away from my eyes and sat up.
"Utau would it kill you to allow my alarm to wake me, at the time I want it to?" Utau looked at my alarm clock and then back at me, as she opened her mouth it set off blaring the sound of ringing bells.
"I didn't know if it was going to go off, you set it to go off at such weird times. Really 6:03 in the morning, why not just 6, or 6:05? No you have to be a weirdo and set it for 6:03. I wonder how you're even related to me." She ended her sentence with a light laugh that sounded oddly beautiful, considering she's an ugly witch for waking me up before my alarm. She tapped the button to silence it.
"If you want to shower I'm done so it's all yours, breakfast will be ready in about… ten minutes. I'm making pancakes with chocolate chips." She turned, and walked out of my room, thankfully closing the door completely behind her.
I rose, stretched and decided to do some light yoga before showering. A few sun salutations later the sun was up, and I was scrubbing the suds into my head like there was no tomorrow. My shampoo smelled clean, I didn't like the chemically fake smell of 'Sparkling Sun Kissed Strawberries' no, just give me some normal shampoo for slightly oily hair that's cheap and I'm fine. I finished my shower in ten minutes flat* and dried off in the bathroom.
Returning to my lovely room I walked to my closet and pulled out my outfit for the day. A flowy lilac crop top that had grey lace flowing out from the underbust, where the cotton cut off. It was a few layers of layered lace so you couldn't see my skin, and it was cute. I paired that with some grey skinny jeans and my black tennis shoes and I was set to conquer the world! Or at least my breakfast my stomach reminded me.
So I footslogged my way to the dining room and sat down, immediately inhaling my pancakes, covered in butter and syrup. Downing a few glasses of water I was now ready to take on the world.
"So Amu are you excited for our first day of school?" Utau asked, eating her breakfast at a much more delicate pace, queen like.
"Yes I am, I'm excited to make some new friends, and complete my mission. How about yourself?"
"Your response is just about the same as mine would be. Make friends, complete a stupid mission and live happily ever after." She took another sip of tea, began to stack her dishes.
"We should probably head out in a few. The school starts at 7:45 and seeing as it's about a fifteen minute drive five minutes would be best to be gone by." I said as I brought my dishes to the kitchen, rinsed them off and placed them in the dishwasher after Utau had done the same.
Grabbing my backpack we both walked out of the door and to our little prius. It was a cute mint color and got 55 miles to the gallon, a complete steal considering neither of us really went anywhere. No need to really waste money on a car that doesn't need gas often.
The drive to the school had been pretty uneventful, we listened to some classical music and drove with the windows down. It was peaceful, until we pulled into the parking lot. The spaces were tiny, did they want all these new drivers to crash into everyone? Entering the school was a new kind of chaos, and I've seen war and this was much worse. I could practically smell the raging hormones oozing off of some kids. No please, keep your hands off each other in this building please, I liked my breakfast but not enough to taste it a second time.
I could tell Utau was just as put off as I was about this whole high school environment. However classes should be different I hope. And I really hope that guy with his hands all over some girl in the corner gets tested. Both of ya nasties better be safe. Stupid teenagers. Stupid hormones.
"Amu it's not polite to think mean things." Utau chidded at me.
"It's also not polite to look into my thoughts creepy twin… creep." I teased right back, sticking my tongue out at her. Not that she could actually read my mind, just my facial expressions.
We found our classroom and entered, the kind teacher told us to wait before we seated ourselves, we would introduce ourselves and then be placed into a seating chart. How fun, having to stand at the front of the room as people flooded in, giving us weird glances, yes please stare at me as if I'm an animal on display at a zoo, oh how I love it. Oh a wink, I've never seen one up this close before, thank you for blessing me and giving me such the honor Mr. Jock Face. How very blessed am I now.
"Class please seat yourselves, in your assigned seats Mr. Lincoln. Thanks, anyways we have some new students as you could probably tell, so please introduce yourselves girls and you may sit in the chairs right by the window." Our teacher, for English, was a kind middle aged women with soft eyes, and pretty brown-red hair.
Utau spoke first breaking the silence.
"My name is Utau Hikiri, I'm 18 years old and I'm excited to finish up the school year with you all." She gave a slight bow from her head and turned to me.
"My name is Amu Hikiri, I'm also 18 and I'm happy to meet you all." I too gave a slight nod before approaching my chair when some student spoke.
"You're both 18, that would make you twins right? You look nothing a-like. Unless pinkey here dyed her hair so could tell a difference." He finished his statement with a quick laugh and high fived his buddies, pleased with his remarks. I decided to answer his question.
"My Mother had almost white blond hair, and my fathers was red. Through the power of punnett squares I got pink hair, and my sister my mother's blond geene. Biology is a wonderful thing isn't it." Ah sarcasm, using the element of modernism I wish to tell you that it is one of my best traits. Closing the fourth wall I sat down, pulled out a composition notebook and took detailed notes of today's lesson, 'Modernism and Postmodernism.' A lovely time in American History.
Deathly Jester: I hope you all like this chapter. I hope to have chapter 2 up, running and re-done by tomorrow night. Please leave me some comments letting me know what you think of this updated chapter!
