Always Be Together

She searched the crowd of people that streamed off the flight from North Carolina. Faces that didn't mean a thing, passed right on by without even giving her a second glance. But that was okay. She wasn't waiting for them. They weren't him. But there he was, bag slung over his shoulder and her face lit up like a star when she saw him. A smile invaded her face, one that hadn't been there in the longest time, but she didn't seem to mind in the least. He laughed quietly as he saw her light up like this, dropping his bag to the ground and opening his arms wide. Her eyes sparkled as she ran quickly towards him. She practically leaped into his arms and he swung her around, hugging her tightly, just to be close to her. He inhaled her scent, something he hadn't smelt in what seemed like an eternity.

As he set her back down on the ground, she tucked her hair hastily behind her ears. He looked into her beautiful eyes, which were glowing mischievously and he simply couldn't resist any longer. Right there in that Californian airport, with all these people they didn't even know, would never even talk to, he kissed her and she kissed back, swinging her arms around his neck. And when they broke apart, she bit her lip nervously, not sure what to say in a moment like this.

"I missed you," She whispered as she watched his every move, wondering what he was thinking, "So much."
He nodded knowingly, bringing his hand up to cup her cheek gently, and she just melted at his touch. He had missed her just as much, if not more. These past few months had seemed like years.
"I love you." He smiled at her, "So much."

And with those five words, he had her. She was his forever, and all he had to do was love her. All he had to do was be the one she ran to, whenever she had a problem. All he had to do was hold her close when she was scared. All he had to do was miss her when she was gone. All he had to do was be the one she was going to love from now until forever. She fell into his strong arms, and he held her close as she rested her head on his shoulder gently.

"I love you too." She laughed into his ear.
"So much?" He asked quietly.
"So much." She assured him.

That was all he needed to hear.He knew he'd be the one she ran to, whenever she had a problem. That he'd be the one to hold her close when she was scared. That he'd be the one missing her when she was gone. That he'd be the one she was going to love from now until forever. And that was all that really mattered. She looked into his eyes, and he looked back, kissing her softly one more time and her knees went weak, because that's what he did to her, that's how he made her feel.

"Ready to go?" He asked, when they finally broke apart.
"I'll go anywhere with you." She said, taking his hand in hers.
"Good." He smiled, as he picked up his bag with his free hand, and they walked hand in hand out of the airport, knowing that everything was going to work out, no matter how far apart they were. They'd always be together.
