Sentinel Attack

Summary: What if, at the season 2 finale, the x-men had to face an entire army of sentinels instead of just one?

Chapter 1: Caught!

Scott watched Bayville from his car. He was fuming mad. How could the professor expect us to work with those…those… those delinquents!? Everyone was surprised by the fact that Prof. X had wanted them to team up with the Brotherhood, but Scott was the only one angry enough to actually leave the Institute. I'll stay here until I cool off, thought Scott, and then head back to talk the Prof. out of this…

Scott's thoughts were interrupted by a group of strange figures flying across the sky. "What the…?" murmured Scott. He had never seen anything like this. It looked like something he'd fight in the Danger Room. As he studied these new arrivals, he noticed they were making a bee-line towards the mansion. "Oh, crap…!" hissed Scott as he hopped in his car and drove off. He hoped he'd beat them there or else the x-men were in for it…

Scott sped along the road towards the mansion. People had gathered outside to gawk at the flying robots. The distant roaring of the robot's rockets began to grow closer. Oh shi- Scott's thoughts were interrupted as a massive rocket propelled itself into the road and blew up, propelling Scott's car (and Scott) two blocks down.

Scott felt his face. His shades were gone. Not surprising. He fumbled around until he found his visor and put it on. He could feel the massive thud as the robot walked closer. He scrambled out of the flaming ruins of his car. The robot towered over Scott. Quickly he fired an optic blast at the hunk of metal. The robot stumbled back, but regained its balance and fired at Scott, who had taken cover behind his car (or what was left of it).

Man, I hope Xavier is having an easier time then I am…
