Inheritance
Summary: What does it mean to inherit? What does the old past to the new?
Lamington: Inherited Sin
Seraph Lamington was far from perfect, he like anyone else had his own faults. He too had his fair share of dirty little secrets kept hidden away, he too had taken another's life. But even so he wished to create a better world, for Humans, Demons, and Angels. For anything that lived, he was more than willing to lay down his life for it.
He could only continue to move forwards, bearing the weight of his failures, of the sacrifices made.
….But, when he saw the bubbly blonde Archangel by his side he smiled. Even if he continued to fail, even if he never got to see the races truly understand each other. That was fine, shewas more than able to accept this burden.
"Flonne, one day I'll be entrusting you not only the leadership of Celestia but also my dreams."
Her attention was focused on him, he held up a palm to quiet any forthcoming statements.
"I apologize for putting my burden upon your shoulders but no one else would do. Keep on being you Flonne, I'm sure you'll succeed were I have failed. You helped prove my dream wasn't fruitless, once again I must ask for your aid."
He smiled at her nod of confirmation. "I'll do my best Seraph!" With nary another word she sped off, he envied her energy slightly. Only slightly, he closed his eyes and rested in the shade, "The Yuie flowers are more beautiful than ever my friend."
He heard the deep chuckling of his longtime companion, "They've grown up Lamington, its there time too shine." He nodded, "We've left them a heavy burden...but its one they can definitely handle."
To create bonds between humans, angels, and demons...if it was her-he had no fear of failure.
A/N: So this is a rough/first draft of this. This is the first in a series of one shots concerning the older characters or previous generation of the Disgaea multiverse.
