The bet was simple. Either I was right, or he was. Unfortunately, he was, and now I had to pay the price.

I and Captain Kirk had made a bet, that if Spock was clueless to figure out my feelings for him by the end of the week, he would win. If he did figure it out and consulted me about it, then I would win.

Kirk won.

Bastard bet me a kiss. But not with him. With the pointy eared man himself. I grumbled and cursed at the captain as he laughed, my Vulcan friend clueless as always.

Kirk gave Spock the order to go down to SickBay to deliver a few reports to Bones. The Vulcan man nodded and stood to his feet, walking over to the lift to head to SickBay. The captain turned to me and smirked, mouthing the words, 'Go on.'

I groaned lightly to myself and slowly stood up, making my way to the lift to stand with Spock. He was quiet, as usual, but something seemed a bit different. The tips of his ears were a slight green shade, barely noticeable. I was confused, "Hey Spock, you alright?" I asked.

"I am fine, Commander Grimaldi." he said bluntly, standing straight as always. His hands were behind his back in a formal gesture, as usual. Nothing ever seemed new abut the man.

I remembered my purpose for coming here, and sighed lightly, my cheeks turning a light shade of pink. It was Spock's turn to look confused, "Are you alright, Commander?" he asked, raising a brow. I cleared my throat, "Y-Yeah..." I mumbled shyly, looking down at my feet, the wall; anything other than the man next to me.

He hummed lightly in response, staring at me for a few more seconds before returning his gaze to the doors of the lift. I was running out of time.

I finally let out a deep breath, leaning my hand over Spock to press a button, stopping the lift. Spock looked down at me, quite confused. I swallow the lump in my throat, "I-I'm really sorry about this..." I mumbled softly before placing a hand on the back of his neck, pulling him down to meet my lips with his.

The Vulcan stood completely still, allowing me to hold the kiss for a few seconds before pulling away. I blushed heavily and cleared my throat again, pressing another button to allow the lift to continue to its destination. Spock didn't say a word, but he couldn't stop staring at me. Even though I was looking down at my feet, I could feel his gaze on me, burning into me.

The second the lift doors opened, I stepped out, not wasting any time to wander off to some part of the ship Spock wasn't going to be. The commanding Vulcan blinked once, watching me walk off rather quickly before making his own way to SickBay. Once inside, Bones smirked lightly at him, "Commander, you got, uh... Some lipstick smeared here." he chuckled, pointing to the man's lips. Spock put a finger or two to his lips, blinking as the tips of his ears turned a darker and more visible shade of green. Bones only laughed, "Let me guess... Was it Inocencia?" he teased. "My romantic attraction to Commander Grimaldi doesn't concern you, Doctor. Carry on with your duties." Spock said, a bit rushed than usual. He gave the reports to McCoy and made his way out of SickBay.

He went straight to his quarters, trying to wash off before returning to the bridge. He'd confront me later, but for now, he had his duties to attend to.
