Another Thomas rewrite, this time it's "What's the Matter with Henry?" from Season 7. Enjoy and comment.
It was the end of a busy day on the Island of Sodor. All the engines had been working hard right now.
Everyone was happy, except for Henry. He was feeling ill.
"What's the matter Henry?" asked Thomas.
"My boiler aches." groaned Henry.
"Maybe it's just grumbling."
"That's not funny!" snapped Henry. "Nobody cares!"
Emily noticed Henry had left a puddle of water behind. She was worried.
The next morning, Sir Topham Hatt arrived.
"Thomas, Percy and Henry. I need you to collect some freight cars and take them to the docks."
"Yes sir!" said Thomas and Percy as they set off.
Henry watched as the engines puffed away. He still wasn't feeling well.
"Please sir, can I stay in my shed?" moaned Henry.
"Really useful engines never complain and do as they are told!" boomed Sir Topham Hatt.
So Henry set off.
On his way, Henry was leaving water everywhere, as he chuffed towards the coaling plant.
When Emily saw this, she was more worried than ever.
Then, Thomas and Percy wheeshed by.
"I can't go much faster." groaned Henry.
"You're just being lazy!" teased Thomas.
When Thomas and Percy arrived at the coaling plant, they had a naughty plan.
"Henry wants to take more freight cars!" Thomas told the yard manager.
"Of course!" said the yard manager.
Meanwhile, Emily was talking to Sir Topham Hatt.
"I'm worried about Henry!" she said.
"His tubes must be leaking." replied Sir Topham Hatt. "You better check!"
Emily puffed away.
By the time Henry reached the coaling plant, Thomas and Percy had already left.
"Why did Thomas and Percy leave me so many freight cars?" moaned Henry. "They know I'm not feeling well!"
"We still need to take them!" said his driver.
Henry puffed along with his heavy load of freight cars.
"You can do it Henry!" called his driver.
But it was no use. Henry came to a stop.
Just then, Emily arrived.
"All you alright Henry?" asked Emily.
"No. I'm sick!"
Henry's fireman uncoupled the heavy freight cars, and soon Emily was coupled up to Henry.
"Thank you Emily!" wheeshed Henry.
Emily and Henry puffed into the docks, where Sir Topham Hatt was waiting.
"Good job Emily!" said Sir Topham Hatt.
"Thank you sir!"
Then, Sir Topham Hatt turned to Henry.
"You were very brave Henry. You tried your hardest to pull the heavy freight cars!
Thomas and Percy were ashamed.
"We're sorry Henry!" said Thomas.
"We didn't think you were sick!" added in Percy.
Sir Topham Hatt was not impressed with Thomas and Percy.
"You will both collect the freight cars." he said sternly.
"Yes sir." said the two engines.
Soon, Henry was mended and back at work.
"You look great Henry!" said Emily.
"At least they mended my tubes, but they didn't look at the brakes and all my other parts!"
Poor Henry!
