Beta Love to Alana - I don't know what I'd do without her!

Luna smiled over her shoulder at Hermione as she grasped her hand and led her down the hill behind their house. "It's not much further, love. Just over to those rocks there." She pointed to a small outcropping about 50 meters away with the hand holding the bouquet of freshly picked daisies – her mother's favorite flower. "I come every chance I get to say hello and tell her about my life. I can't wait to introduce you." She tugged on the hand holding hers and skipped the rest of the way to the rocks.

They find the gravesite in pristine condition, as it always is. The flowers Luna brought went into the vase next to the marker, the almost-dead bouquet that had been in the vase vanished with a quick evanesco. Luna sat down next to the grave marker, and gently tugged Hermione down to sit beside her. "Mum, this is Hermione. I've told you about her; my special friend from Hogwarts." She looked over to Hermione and smiled brightly. "She's agreed to move into the house with me, finally." Luna reached out and ran her free hand along the name on the marker. "We're to be bonded at the next solstice. You're the first we're telling."

Hermione blushes and closes her eyes. I cannot believe I'm going to talk to a grave; it's Luna though, and she's special enough for me to put aside my thoughts and logical thinking. "Hello, Mrs. Lovegood. Luna has told me all about you. She's special. You know, I'm sure. She's the most special person in the world to me." She looked over to Luna and squeezed the hand still holding hers. "I've decided, love. If you're still ok with it, I would like to take your name."

Luna stood abruptly and pulled her into a tight hug. "See mum, I told you she's someone very special."
