It all began with a whimper

A cry in the night,

Something that made my heart simper

A beast without light.

My mind grew stronger

As the cries became loud,

The sound turned laughter

As I drew to man bound.

He cackled as his body

Slowly deteriorated and died,

He looked at me eyes gaudy

With much foolish power and pride.

"I cover you, my pupil

With power from below,"

He spoke with tone most frugal

As life drained from him slow.

In horror I stared

At his corpse dead and dry,

I knew this man there

Yet no tears made me cry.

I felt power enter me

Coursing quickly through my veins,

As a god could now I be

Causing terror, strife and pain.

The light Ones could not stop

My plans of evil pursuit,

And powers I did cop

All trembled at sound of boot.

Now do I live

In tower mighty and strong,

Now do I live

With darkness as life song.

No one can halt

The game that has begun,

For now the fault

Lies in dead stars been done.
