A/N: I do NOT own the characters of Verona, Marishka, Aleera, Count Vladislaus Dracula, Anna Valerious, Gabriel Van Helsing, Friar Carl, etc, etc, etc. If I did, I wouldn't be here - I'd be on a beach in the Bahamas with lots of money stashed in the bank. Any and all flames will be used for roasting marshmallows, blah, blah, blah. Okay, let's get to the story already. And sorry for the short Prologue - I'll get Part 1 out as soon as possible!

A/N 2: YAY! The formatting is working now!

Prologue

Wait for me, sisters - I'll be with you soon. But first there is something I have to do.

If anyone can hear me, please listen to my tale. I am Aleera Dracula, the last and youngest bride of my love and my Master, Count Vladislaus Dracula. I can hear you laughing – you think we vampires are incapable of love. Oh, my friend, you couldn't be more wrong – it is not that we cannot love, but that we have loved too much and do not want to be hurt again.

Like my Master. He is perhaps the only one of our kind who cannot love. He wanted to love us – all three of us – but he couldn't. He cannot even say the word without causing himself pain. Oh, my Master! How long have Verona, Marishka and I longed to hear that word from your lips! But my sisters are gone, and I am all that is left. Yet I do not wish to cause you pain, my love. You asked Verona and I not to fear you. We have never feared you; only feared not being with you. Feared another failure. When I saw your face when we tried to give life to our children – Master, you were smiling! It was the first time I'd ever seen you truly happy. At that moment, I would have died for you a second time. ...That may happen, anyway...

But I digress. My friend, I asked you to listen to my tale, but I do not yet tell it. It is, as the saying goes, a long story. This is the story of three Transylvanian girls – three Transylvanian girls who fell in love with a monster from Hell.
