Chapter 1 :: They're Coming
Author's Note: HI PEOPLE!!! I'm not really sure when this story/adventure/episode occurs along Stephenie Meyer's storyline, but it's somewhere along there. Just to let you know, this is my first serious fanfiction (I'm writing a joint fanfic with my friend, called Harry Potter and the Asian Invasion. We basically do weird stuff at Hogwarts and make fun of Ron. So, if you're interested, please go read it and REVIEWWW!!!! I love reviews. -sigh-) so please be considerate and not flame me. Any kind of advice is much appreciated. Hope you enjoy it!!! REVIEWWWW!!!!
Disclaimer: I don't own any of Stephenie Meyer's amazing characters (sadly, they're too good to have been created by me). I do, however, own the storyline/plot thing of this fanfiction which came to me in a freak dream while I was riding on BART. So yeah.
Bella's PoV
"They're coming," whispered Edward's wonderfully velvety voice tensely into my ear.
I turned myself around under the covers to face him. He was lounging casually on his side of my bed despite the agitation in his voice, his head resting on his arm. I studied his face, a beautiful and perfect creation that caught the moonlight in an angle that made him seem god-like. His eyes were a dark amber with gold flecks, telling me just how worried he was. I was mesmerized by his eyes, sucked into the beautifully endless void, unable to look away. Then Edward blinked and I was free. I shook my head to clear it, my brown hair brushing my back, and I rubbed my eyes to get the tiredness out of them.
"Are you all right? Did I do it again?" my angel asked in a worried voice.
We both knew that he had a tendency to hypnotize me with his eyes on accident. I couldn't really blame him though. I suppose vampires are made to attract their prey, just as Venus flytraps are made to attract any unsuspecting bugs. Not exactly the most comforting analogy. But Edward…Edward would never hurt me. And if he did, I would still love him nonetheless.
"I'll always be fine if you're by my side," I replied drowsily, fatigue still in my system.
His eyes softened and changed a hint more golden. I scooted closer to him and placed my head on his chest, tracing the outline of his chest and shoulders and neck with my hands. He smelled of exotic spices. I breathed in deeply and relaxed. Edward started to stroke my hair rhythmically with gentleness. The moonlight shone down on us in a liquid pool of calming silver. I sighed with happiness. If only we could stay like this forever, I thought sadly. As if reading my mind, he put his arms around me and pulled me towards him protectively.
He breathed into my collarbone, "We really should go now, Bella."
End Note: REVIEW PEOPLE!!! I really, really, really hope you liked it. I'm not a very good writer…but I pay much attention to my grammar!!! YAY! (xDDDDD) Baiiii!!! Review a lot if you want me to update sooner!!!!
