If there was one thing Edward hated more than anything, it was alarm clocks. That damn thing had interrupted too many mornings of precious sleep, and he was about two seconds from taking it in his right hand and smashing it.

The shifting mattress and sudden coolness on his back reminded him of another reason he hated alarm clocks. Roy was not a fan of sleeping in, even if it meant an extra five minutes of cuddling with his young lover. He said that if he wasn't up before the sun, the day was already wasted. Edward, of course, did not share this sentiment, but never protested with more than a few groans on resentment.

This morning was going to be different.

When he felt the older alchemist start to sit up, Edward rolled over and latched onto his waist without a sound. Roy paused for a moment, slightly baffled by this new behavior.

"Edward, let go," he said, trying to pry himself from the teen's literal iron grip.

"No. Stay in bed," Edward mumbled.

"The sun's going to come up soon," Roy said uselessly.

"I don't care. It's Saturday. You are staying in bed."

Roy sighed, looking down at Ed. "I'll make chocolate chip pancakes if you let go," he bribed.

"No."

"Please let go."

"No."

"If you don't let go, I'm going to make you sleep on the couch."

"Can't make me."

"Then I'll sleep on the couch."

"You'll be back in bed before midnight."

Roy nudged the blonde. "Do you really want to cuddle that badly?"

He took Edward's silence as a refusal to admit that he wanted to cuddle, and with a smile and a kiss, wrapped his arms around the younger male and snuggled back under the covers.
