A Day in Her Eyes.

I looked at my sweet Bella in awe. By the way she was fidgeting I could tell she was dreaming. I always wondered what she was dreaming about. If they were nice dreams or nightmares. If they were about her family or friends. I wondered what was going on in her little mind while she was unconscious.

She began turning in her sleep and mumbling uncoherent things. I listened carefully as her heart beat began to race. I began to worry. Was she having a nightmare? I ran my hand threw her long, brown, silky hair to try to sooth her. Her mumbling got louder and louder slowly.

"Edward?" I heard her say with confusion. I looked at her but she was still dreaming. I smiled knowing that she was dreaming of me. Yes, it was nothing surprising, she said my name plently of times, but just knowing she was thinking of me was always a great feeling.

"No! Please stop! Edward don't hurt him!" She chanted. I looked at her confused. Hurt who? Who was she begging me not to hurt. I ran my hand gently over her lips that had formed a small frown. She began tossing and turning again and kept mumbling things that I didn't understand.

"Edward? Where are you? Come back!" She called out loudly but not loud enough for her father to wake. I wrapped my cool arms around her warm body.

"I'm here love." I whispered into her ear even though I knew she couldn't hear me. I grabbed that blanket that was tangled in her legs and gently laid it over her so she wouldn't get cold. I kissed her below her ear and hugged her tightly.

"Edward? Jake why did you do that? Why did you make Edward leave?" She brusted out suddenly. I froze. She was dreaming about 'Jake', her Jacob. I frowned. She had been thinking about him lately ever since I had come back. I sighed.

"Jake, he promised he wouldn't leave me again." I heard her say faintly. My frown deepened. She was having a nightmare. She was dreaming about me leaving again.

"I'll never leave you again Isabella." I whispered. I kissed her cheek and felt something wet on my lips. I leaned back a little and realized she was crying in her sleep. I wiped away her tears and pressed her closer towards my body. I wasn't going to leave her again, ever.

"He loves me!" She growled. I smiled. She was defending me in her dreams. I squeezed her tightly for a moment and kissed her hand. I closed my eyes and listened to her agrue with herself. It was very sweet to hear her say such things but I wasn't too surprised either.

"Jake..." She whispered. "He asked me to marry him. I'm going to marry him. I'll marry him tomorrow just to get you off my back if I have to! You have to accept the fact that I love him."

I froze. She was thinking about marriage with me already. I had come back not even 2 months ago and she already trusted me enough to get married. I sighed peacefully as I tried to understand and see what if would be like a day in her eyes.

"Isabella Swan, will you marry me?" I whispered to myself. I smiled at how right that sounded.

"Yes." I heard her whisper. I froze. Had she heard me? I felt her turn around in my eyes with wide eyes. I looked at her in shock. She laid her soft hand on my cheek.

"Yes, Edward, I will marry you."
