A Morning of Talking.
By Rowena Siriah
The X- Men are obviously not mine so don't sue me (please)
Nell is mine so please don't use her.
Note: The story of Nell is really long but I know it all but I can't write it just yet as I am writing it as a joint story with my pal Venificia (cos she's in it) Nell will probably pop up in most of my stories she's wild with a lust for blood, but I can't be bothered saying anymore you'll just have to piece it together slowly.

It's a Normal (if that is possible) day at the X Mansion.
The pale light came through the neat curtains as the rain, which had caused a thunderstorm that made Nell seek refuge in her room at the mansion, she groaned and muttered sleepily but the birds were calling so she sat up putting on her glasses she was very surprised to see Logan sitting at the end of her bed,
"Logan? Wha- what are you doin?"
"Shh" He whispered, "No one's up yet."
"Oh." She paused- "What is it?" He held up what looked like a ripped rag
"Oh no."
"Look it weren't my fault but Cyke's already had a freak at me an' I don't know whether this time I'll be makin' red a widow."
"Don't worry," she reached under her bed and pulled out a battered red box. Inside it was a soup of sewing stuff, She pulled out a needle and thread and got to work.
"I hope you realise I'm not exactly good at sewin'. "
"That's fine." He was pretty grateful for all he was so gruff. She understood that, and to most people anyway, she was really quite like him in that respect.
In another room- down the hallway a quiet argument was arising.
"Look I don't care what he's done apart from all the trouble it's causing Jean." A certain Cyclops was getting rather annoyed.
"But honey he's done some good things as well, you can't deny it."
"I don't care! All his little rages are costing us time and money, either he learns to control himself or I'll-"
"You'll what?" Came a voice from outside- it was Nell, she knew that if Logan heard this (and with his hearing there was a good chance that he would,)
Cyke opened the door and looked down at her in distaste. "Are you eavesdropping?"
"Nope but I'm trained for overhearing an' I just thought how interested Logan would be if you said that to his face rather than behind his back- either that or keep you big mouth shut, or I'll tell your wife what I saw you looking at yester day morning and half past four." Cyke froze,
"You know nothing- you weren't there-I checked"
"Ahh- can you trust that though?" Nell grinned and one eyebrow arched into a point. Cyke gulped and shut the door in her face. As Nell sauntered, sniggering down the corridor she could here Jean's voice questioning her husband. The truth be told, Nell had not been there but a young chaffinch had and would do anything in exchange for a handful of seeds or cereal. As she turned the corner she bumped into Logan standing right in her path- he'd been listening to every word.
"What was he reading?"
"Ooh just a really dirty magazine- the kind that Jean would kill him for reading- with her psychic powers she'll have it out of him in no time."
They went down the stairs and into the grounds chuckling.
"Where are you going now?" asked Nell, "Just out," He replied.
"Oh I'll be in the woods when you get back."
"Okay." The two began to walk away, "An Nell?"
"Yeah?"
"Thanks for stickin up for me- I probl'y would 'ave skewered that prat without thinkin' if I'd got there first."
"I guessed as such"
The End
